UNDERSTANDING ECU OPTIMIZATION
Engine control unit optimization, often referred to as chiptuning, is a precise, data-driven process designed to increase performance by recalibrating factory parameters within safe operating limits.
By modifying the software of the engine control unit (ECU), power (hp) and torque (Nm) can typically be increased by 15–45% , depending on engine design and available reserves. Turbocharged engines, in particular, reveal remarkable potential.
